• Building the RADi center

RADi has funding for a small space with kitchen, but we could use your help to build a large second floor for large classes/yoga, some cabins for long term visitors, and an extensive drip irrigation system for the gardens.

 

• Reforestation

There are several hectares of land at Sacred Suenos that need to be reforested. We want to focus on the forest part of reforestation, and stress that we’ll be avoiding monoculture plantations. This is our opportunity to see which ecological analog plantings are successful enough to perpetuate throughout thegreater bioregion in the future.

 

• Appropriate technology experiments

We are always looking for ways which could enrich the lives of our neighbours while benefiting the earth. Since the average Ecuadorian farmer is very poor, these techniques and technologies obviously must be cheap to implement. However, the process of perfecting our developments means that we often spend a lot on our mistakes. We are currently developing fuel efficient stoves and hot water heaters, solar dehydrators, irrigation schemes, natural building techniques, and sustainable agruculture techniques, to name a few.

 

• Scholarships for interns

We are blessed to be hosting interns at our seed camp! Not only do they help facilitate all the volunteers, but we are offering them an experience that we encourage them to share after leaving Sacred Suenos. Some do not have the funds to pay for the orientation course and food costs while doing their internships. And often, they would love to have support for the projects that they plan on doing with all the knowledge that they’ve gained.
